RB Leipzig hosts Augsburg in a game from the 25th round of the Bundesliga

Here are our thoughts about this game at the Red Bull Arena.

RB Leipzig is having another very good season so far. Right now they are 3rd in the league standings with 45 points, having a fight for another return to the Champions League. Right now Ralph Rangnick’s team have a record of 13 wins, 6 draws and 5 defeats.

In their last five matches RB Leipzig are unbeaten and doing pretty well – three wins and two draws. In their last game, Leipzig enjoyed a 1-0 win during the visit to Nurnberg, thanks to a winning goal by Lukas Klostermann. It was a tough win against the outsider of the league, but sometimes the hardest wins are the most important ones.

Meanwhile, Augsburg is 15th in the Bundesliga with 21 points won. They are in a dangerous situation because their lead in front of the 16th Stuttgart at the relegation playoff spot is just 2 points. Right now Augsburg has a record of 5 wins, 6 draws and 13 defeats in the league.

In their last five matches in the league, Augsburg won twice, but also suffered three losses. In their last game, they celebrated a win, though, beating the leader Borussia Dortmund with 2-1 at home. The big hero of the night was Korean striker Ji Dong-Won, who scored a brace in Roman Burki’s net. Dortmund were huge favourites to win this game, but Augsburg showed a lot of passion and effort in order to win this one.

That’s what we had to say about the Bundesliga fixture between RB Leipzig and Augsburg at the Red Bull Arena. Surely Leipzig is the favourite here, but have in mind that it was the same with Borussia Dortmund last week.
