We are heading to the Stamford Bridge
We are heading to the Stamford Bridge where Chelsea will face Burnley in a game from the 21th round of the Premier League. Let us take a look at this match in this preview.
Against Burnley Chelsea’s new manager Thomas Tuchel will try to win for a first time with his new club. The German tactician debuted against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, but the match ended with no goals scored – 0-0.
Against Wolves Tuchel decided to use a 3-4-3 formation. He left Timo Werner on the bench and chose Olivier Giroud to lead the attack, supported by Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech. Kovacic and Jorginho started as the two central midfielders. In the second half Tuchel picked Pulisic, Abraham and Mount from the bench, but no goals were scored.
We expect to see Tuchel making some changes against Burney. Most likely Timo Werner will return in the line-up while players like Abraham and Pulisic could get a starting spot as well. Chelsea have good depth and Tuchel has a lot to choose from.
Burnley are 15th in the Premier League standings with 22 points won so far. Sean Dyche’s team won its last two matches against Liverpool and Aston Villa which allowed them to get on a bigger distance from the relegation zone. They will try to continue performing like this.
In their last game Burnley hosted Aston Villa at the Turf Moor and secured a difficult, but important 3-2 win at home. Ben Mee, Dwight McNeil and Chris Wood scored for the home side against the Villans.
That’s our preview for the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Burnely on Sunday. Is this the time for Thomas Tuchel to win his first game at the club? The German manager is a proven tactician, so we expect to see his team even better compared to his debut game.
