PSG faces Toulouse
PSG are leaders in the standings with 39 points, having an absolutely perfect record of 13 wins after 13 games played. In these 13 matches, PSG scored 45 goals and conceded just 7, which is also highly impressive. There’s no doubt that the champions will defend their title in the Ligue 1. The club is struggling in the Champions League, but in the domestic league, PSG is merciless.
In their last game, Thomas Tuchel’s boys achieved a crushing 4-0 win during the visit to Monaco. Edinson Cavani scored a hattrick for the Parisians, while Neymar also scored one for PSG from a penalty kick. There was a time when the matches between Monaco and PSG were competitive, but this time looks over now.
Right now PSG has some problems in the Champions League, so maybe they will also think about their crucial game against Liverpool four days later. Because of this, most likely Thomas Tuchel will give a rest to some of his starters against Toulouse.
Toulouse, on the other hand, is 15th in Ligue 1 with 14 points and a record of 3 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats. In their last five games, Toulouse is without a win – two draws and three defeats. In their last game, they suffered a 0-1 defeat at home against Amiens.
Clearly, PSG is the huge favourites against Toulouse. As we said, we expect to see PSG’s reserve team on the pitch, because of their very important clash in the Champions League against Liverpool on Wednesday. But even with some of the stars being on the bench, we do not have any doubts that PSG will do the job in this one.
