Manchester City will host Fulham
Manchester City will host Fulham at the at the Etihad in a match from the 11th round of the Premier League.
It sounds quite shocking, but after 9 matches played Man City are currently outside of the Top 10. Right now the Cityzens are 11th in the standings with 15 points and they are 6 points behind the current leader Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola’s team really needs the win on Saturday.
In their last league game Manchester City enjoyed their 4th win for the season. The Cityzens faced Burnley at home and achieved a spectacular 5-0 win. The Algerian international Riyad Mahrez was the big hero of the game scoring a hattrick. Benjamin Mendy and Ferran Torres scored for City as well. It was a really good game from the former champions.
During the week Manchester City had a game in the Champions League as well. On Tuesday they faced Porto in Portugal and went home with a point after a 0-0 draw. With this result Manchester City officially won the group and they will finish first.
Fulham are quite inspired after their impressive win over Leicester City in the previous round. The Cottagers faced the Foxes at the King Power Stadium and sensationally enjoyed a 2-1 win against one of the strongest teams in the league. This became possible after goals scored by Ademola Lookman and Ivan Cavaleiro from a penalty kick.
Thanks to this win Fulham managed to escape the relegation zone, but they are still close to it. Right now the Cottagers are 17th with 7 points, but just one point above the 18th West Bromwich Albion.
That’s our preview for the Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Fulham on Saturday. Can the visitors cause another upset here? Fulham are surely more confident now, but facing City is always a huge test.
