Lazio hosts Juventus

Lazio hosts Juventus at the Olimpico in one of the best derbies in the Italian Serie A. Two participants in the Champions League face each other and it should be a thrilling one.

Lazio didn’t start the 2020/21 season in the best way possible as they are currently 10th in the standings with 10 points won. Simone Inzaghi’s team won three of its six matches so far, but also made some mistakes. The good news is Lazio have enough time to fix them and move much higher in the table.

Last weekend Lazio got back to their best and won for a second consecutive time in the league. The Eagles had a very dramatic visit to Torino which ended with a 4-3 win for the visitors. Four different players scored for the capital club – Andreas Pereira, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ciro Immobile and Felipe Caicedo.

Lazio’s win was amazing because until the 95th minute of the game they were losing it with 2-3. It was Immobile and Caicedo who scored in the final minutes to snatch the three points.

Juventus are close to the top, but they are third in the Serie A standings with 12 points. Andrea Pirlo’s team had some mistakes so far in the league, but surely the young manager needs more time to make his ideas clear to the players.

In their last match in the league Juve recorded their 3rd win for the campaign. The champions visited the newcomers Spezia and enjoyed a thrilling 4-1 win. Cristiano Ronaldo returned with two goals for the Old Lady while Alvaro Morata and Adrien Rabiot scored as well.

During the week Juventus had a game in the Champions League and they celebrated a 4-1 win over Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
