It’s time for another great Spanish
It’s time for another great Spanish derby because Valencia hosts Real Madrid at the Estadio Mestalla in a match from the 9th week of La Liga. Now it’s time to take a good look at this game between these two powerhouses.
Valencia are not in their best situation at the moment. The club is struggling with some serious financial problems which makes their performance on the pitch unconvincing as well. Right now Javi Gracia’s team is 13th in the standings with just 8 points won from 8 matches played.
Los Che are unable to take the win in their last four matches in La Liga. In these four games they suffered three defeats. During the pre-season Valencia sold some of their key players and now it’s causing a negative effect on the team.
Last week Valencia at least won a point. Los Che hosted Getafe at the Mestalla and the match ended with a 2-2 draw. The hosts were very close to a loss, but Carlos Soler equalised with a penalty kick in the 99th minute. It was really dramatic.
Real Madrid are second in La Liga’s standings with 16 points which puts them just one point behind the current leader Real Sociedad. Los Blancos have won four of their last five matches in the league.
Last week Zinedine Zidane’s team recorded its 5th win in La Liga for the season. Los Blancos hosted Huesca and crushed them with 4-1 at the Alfredo Di Stefano. Eden Hazard scored his first goal for the season while Benzema put a brace in the basket. Fede Valverde scored one as well.
That’s our preview for the La Liga derby between Valencia and Real Madrid on Sunday. Real Madrid are favourites here as they are in a much better shape compared to Los Che. But let’s see what the hosts can offer as well.
